Nozzle

Open and custom injection nozzles for clean, controlled material transfer.

Nozzle — Rootier INJECTION component

Injection Nozzle

Injection nozzles provide clean, controlled material transfer between the barrel and the mould. Available in standard, reverse and cone types with free-flow channels, they withstand abrasive and corrosive materials and can be customized to match your sprue and machine, with optional shutoff, filter or mixing function.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The nozzle provides the final melt flow path between the injection unit and mold. Its opening, length, connection, and flow design can influence pressure loss and melt delivery.

  • The nozzle should match the machine's barrel head, mold sprue system, material, processing temperature, injection pressure, and required flow rate.

  • An open nozzle allows continuous melt passage, while a shutoff nozzle uses a mechanical mechanism to control or stop melt flow and can help reduce drooling.

  • Yes. ROOTIER supplies standard and customized injection nozzles based on machine dimensions, connection specifications, material requirements, and customer drawings.
