  • Engineered geometry for best plasticizing

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The screw geometry controls melting, conveying, mixing, and metering of polymer before injection. Screw design therefore has a direct effect on plasticizing efficiency and melt quality.

  • The material, screw diameter, compression ratio, L/D ratio, required output, processing temperature, and presence of additives or glass fiber should all be considered.

  • Signs can include reduced plasticizing capacity, unstable shot weight, longer recovery time, inconsistent melt quality, or excessive wear on the screw flights and surfaces.

  • Yes. ROOTIER can manufacture replacement injection screws based on machine model, screw dimensions, material requirements, and original or customized screw geometry.
